AGF Selva: sloths & a juicy palette
Arrived yesterday
Honestly, I was never going to be able to resist a fabric collection with sloths, was I?
Impossible!
Selva is a collection by the in house design team at Art Gallery Fabrics and to be honest I couldn't get them on the cutting table quick enough.
Bundles of 12 FQ are $70, and here's a shot of them laid out so you can see the designs better.
When my rep first showed me the collection, the stand out prints were the sloths (of course). They come in navy and a lighter blue.
The other key design in the collection is called Junglen and it also comes in two colourways. The moody blue one is actually called Jolly - go figure! And the lighter one is called joyous.
You might be surprised, but my favourite this time is actually the Fierce Felines design in Fresh. I think the stylised tigers and cheetahs would make an awesome summer top. I'm totally crushing on that vibrant French blue ground, and the peach cats on top just pop.
This official swatch is deceiving. It is so much more vibrant than this IRL.
There's also some great low volume and tonal fabrics in the collection. I think you could have a lot of fun fussy cutting that geometric and the bananas are just the right balance of quiet-but-quirky. The bananas also come in a delicate peach.
There's so much more to Selva though, so jump over to the collection page and check it out.
Whatever you do, don't dawdle as the garment makers have already been scooping up yardage.
I'd hate you to miss out.
Happy stitching!
