The Long Distance Quilt has been designed to showcase the Long Distance collection by Courtney Cerruti from Anna Maria's Conservatory Chaper 2.

The finished quilt measures 60 x 60 inches

 With design roots in vintage sashiko quilts, the Long Distance Quilt takes a simple approach to improvisational patchwork.  Comprised of easy to piece geometric shapes and 20" wide columns the quilt is  easily increased or decreased in size if needed.

Bright patches, inspired by colors used in Courtney Cerruti's Long Distance collection, float over the background, and are hand stitched in place, leaving raw edges exposed for a beautiful human touch.

 This is a great project for beginner quilters.
