Stitch beloved Australian natives in sashiko! The panel includes two large designs of floral emblems such as waratah, banksia and fum, and 14 smaller floral and geometric designs. Once stitched the embroideries can be used to decorate bags and clothing or make home decor items such as quilts, cushions and napery.
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese style of functional embroidery developed to mend, repair, strengthen and embellish everyday items using a simple stitch to create geometric patterns.
55% linen, 45cm cotton blend, 137cm wide
The fabric is cut in store by hand, and each kit contains:
- One panel measuring 50cm x the full width of the fabric
- A pack of 6 Hidamari Sashiko needles in assorted sizes
- One 30m spool of Cosmo Hidamari sashiko thread.
