The Homebody Quilt is Wendy's original checker-board inspired design and made using regular rotary cutting and strip piecing with some nifty shortcuts.
The Homebody Quilt pattern includes fabric requirements and cutting instructions for three options:
- Option 1 uses the same 'background' fabric throughout the quilt blocks, sashing and checkerboard borders, and with the yardage specified you will also make the BONUS Homebaby quilt. Just add some binding!
- Option 2 uses two contrast fabrics in each block
- Option 3 uses yardage for the border and is scrap/jelly-roll friendly.
The detailed fabric requirements chart is laid out so that you can mix and match different elements to customise your very own Homebody design. Have a jelly roll that you want to use but would like to incorporate the checkerboard border? You can do it!
Homebody is suitable for experienced quilters or beginners who are confident in maintaining a 1/4" seam.
